If you like Beef short rib then this is a good one. Tender, fall apart but still flavorful, with a brothy gravy like topping. Served with vegetables and these beef tortellacci. The salad dressing I got was an Italian vinaigrette - and I'm usually picky with those but I loved it. The chicken soup was like eating my own family's home made. Perfect blend and flavor, such a simple item, yet perfect. The mashed potatoes were good as well, and the fish fresh and tasty. The service was polite and fun environment. The dining area is tinier so reserve if you plan to go. Maybe next time when it's nicer out looking forward to the outdoor scenic spot.

We've known owners Joanne & Tony for years throughout them owning different restaurants. They are great people & always come through with great staff & food. Our waitress Carrie was excellent. Food was great, we got the Saturday night special prime rib, scallop dinner, chicken penne alla vodka, & shrimp Ceaser salad. Also got a few desserts. All were 5 stars!

Overall food is good and then have classic dishes but also some interesting things that are a little different than your typical Italian restaurant.
Atmosphere is nice, inside is a bit dated but its an overall good restaurant with reasonable prices.
Wife and I both really liked out meals, everything was nicely done and we will definitely return.
The service was a little off the though but it was the day (lunchtime) before Thanksgiving. Which I am sure they were preparing for. The issue we had was we didn't know who was waiting on us as we were somewhat in between a waitress and a waiter.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 13, 2022
Nice place for lunch. We were able to sit outside on the roofed patio and it was a beautiful day. Our server was very friendly and patient especially with my grandmother. We ordered wings for apps, drinks, fish and chips, a pasta special, chicken and broccoli rabe sandwich, chicken napolitano, finished with rice pudding.
I thought the food was excellent from the crispy Buffalo tenders to my delicious spicy chicken napolitano dish. The chicken dish had grilled chicken, cherry peppers and potato wedges- it was the perfect lunch dish! Would definitely recommend!
We finished our lunch with some rice pudding. Rice pudding could be a hit or miss out but this rice pudding was out of this world! I loved it!
I would love to come back when the full patio is open. Service was a bit slow during the day but other than that it was great time!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Josephine P.Waterbury, CT191Jul 24, 2023

You rarely see old-school service like this any more. What started as a potential disaster ended up with one of the most enjoyable evenings I had in quite a while.
I learned a good friend was appearing at Verdi with his orchestra. I immediately called and made my reservation. The person on the other end of the phone was a bit confused about my request, but eventually, realized what I wanted, and I was set.
Or, so I thought.
Bestie and I arrived about 10 minutes before my reservation. A very nice woman at the lectern took my name, and asked me to wait. In short order, a gentleman, Tony, came over and asked when I made the reservation, and with whom I spoke. He shuffled and scanned several papers and admitted they didn't have my table listed. At many places, it would have ended there with Bestie and I finding somewhere else for dinner, but Tony said, "I'll see if I can fit you in." Before he left, he showed me the reservation form, and at the bottom, at my requested time, was a single reservation, with the most garbled spelling of my name ever. I pointed this out, and Tony laughed, apologized, and showed us immediately to our table, one of the best seats in the house.
From there, it went incrediblecularly! Our server, Anthony, came right over, brought menus, took our drink orders, and asked what else he could do right then. We explained we would like to linger over drinks and listen to the entertainment before we ordered, and he sped off, returning quickly with out traditional martinis.
I think he was very glad we were relaxing for a bit, since the room was packed and there were some very needy tables that demanded his attention whenever he walked past them. Our lectern guy made it a point to check on us a couple of time, even referring to me as "Mr. L". When it seemed things quieted down a bit for him, we got his attention and placed our order, along with a bottle of wine. That came out quickly, and it wasn't long before our dinner came out from the kitchen.
Food was hot, well-presented and delicious! We scarfed it down, and ordered dessert with coffee and cordials, something we rarely do, but we were having a great time, and really didn't want the evening to end.
I must add, the entertainment was incredible, and added to the evening.
We settled up, leaving Anthony a great tip, and made plans for our next visit.
I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Nov 27, 2021Updated review
Returned last week and had a lovely time. I ordered the bramble (?) drink. I guess they didn't have some of the Ingredients on hand- but went on a quest to accommodate. While it took a LOOOONNG time for my drink to arrive- our VERY wise waiter brought two for one- any delay is immediately forgiven. The food was good- get the fried cheese served with Alfredo and marinara sauces- fantastic. Our friends enjoyed their dirty gin martinis and selections from the specials menu such as stuffed mushrooms and the short rib. We will continue to return- everything was great.
Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Aug 18, 2020Previous reviewDined in a week before our lives changed and dining out was banned for a couple months (crazy world). We were fortunate to experience Verdi before the exile to our own kitchens. We went for shared plates and drinks. We enjoyed the nachos but the stand out for us was the fig and goat cheese crostini. It's the kind of dish that you associate with a restaurant and find yourself craving, prompting a visit. We look forward to dining outside at Verdi soon to enjoy the crostini whilst taking in the lovely views of the golf course.

In the need of some homemade chicken soup I ordered delivery online. As their menu states, "just like grandma made" describes it best. I like that they use the small pearl pasta too. The teriyaki marinated chicken appetizer served with salad was the perfect portion for a light lunch, fresh and tasty. But the Foglia de Salving Ripeno (Layered mozzarella with fresh basil dipped in a white wine Beignet batter Flash fried served over Marinara and Alfredo sauces) stole the show! I've never had anything like it. Such a unique spin on typical fried mozzarella. It's 3 pillows of heaven - Light, fluffy and gooey cheesy fritter-like pockets. Even tasted delicious as takeout (asked for the sauces on the side) pictures don't do it justice!

Went here for a retirement party the place is nice and clean, woman's bathroom is huge. The way they set the round tables ugh the man behind me kept bumping into the back of my chair, the lady was trying to squeeze through pulled my hair it was annoying and horrible. The Food really wasn't that great their chicken with Lemon was moist on the inside but extremely soggy, their roast beef would of been better if it had been served with some gravy, the pasta was good, the salad had very little dressing so it was dry. The Food needed salt like I feel bad for the person paying because it was just crap.
