Here's what you need to know: - Calendar year basis plans must file their 2023 reports by July 31st, 2024. - You can extend the deadline to October 15th, 2024, by filing Form 5558 with the IRS by July 31st, 2024. - Small welfare benefit plans with fewer than 100 covered participants may be exempt. - Take advantage of the Delinquent Filer Voluntary Compliance Program (DFVCP) to avoid higher penalties.
