Attorney Yamin enjoys a diverse practice, including representation of business and individual clients with a particular emphasis on construction and commercial litigation. Often, he acts as general outside counsel to his business clients providing regular advice on legal issues tailored to his clients’ strategic plans. Attorney Yamin represents contractors, business and real estate owners and developers in a variety of unique and complex transactions. He played a key role in advocating for legislation which was enacted to protect payments owed to sub-contractors on Connecticut construction projects. Attorney Yamin also serves as a Court appointed arbitrator in the Connecticut Superior Court. In addition to his legal practice, Attorney Yamin is an active member of the community, serving previously as the Chairman of the Waterbury Board of Finance and on the Board of Directors for the Waterbury Development Corporation. He has worked closely with the City’s various boards and municipal officials. Presently, he is a member of the Waterbury YMCA’s Board of Directors.Attorney Grant’s practice focuses on the litigation of complex civil disputes in state and federal courts. During his career, Eric has represented publicly and privately held companies in various industries including manufacturing of industrial and consumer products, computer software, insurance, reinsurance, construction, commercial real estate, aerospace, tobacco, trash to energy, automobile dealerships, healthcare, banking and investment banking. Eric litigates cases involving commercial contracts, insurance coverage, insurer bad faith claims, business torts, mergers and acquisitions, directors and officers fiduciary duties, corporate governance, employment discrimination claims, breaches of restrictive covenants, executive compensation, factoring transactions, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, construction projects, products liability, medical malpractice and personal injuries. Eric has argued before the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts, as well as the New Jersey Supreme and Appellate Courts. Eric’s practice includes the use of alternative dispute resolution procedures, including arbitration, mediation and formal settlement negotiations when such procedures are contractually required or in the interests of his clients. Attorney Grant also serves as a Court appointed arbitrator in the Connecticut Superior Court. He has been recognized by Law & Politics and the publishers of Connecticut Magazine in their Super Lawyers publication for the State of Connecticut and for each year from 2007 through 2016. Attorney Grant serves on the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Litigation Section as well as serving as an arbitrator for the Connecticut Bar Association’s Lawyer to Lawyer Dispute Resolution Program. Eric is also a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America.
