NVCOG is a planning organization that undertakes transportation, economic development, land use, Brownfields redevelopment, environmental and emergency planning for the Naugatuck Valley Region. NVCOG sets regional priorities, through its board of Chief Elected Officials, for a variety of federal and state funding programs, oversees regional programs for its member municipalities, and provides technical assistance to municipalities, state and federal agencies, local organizations, and the general public. NVCOG member municipalities include Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Bethlehem, Bristol, Cheshire, Derby, Middlebury, Naugatuck, Oxford, Plymouth, Prospect, Seymour, Shelton, Southbury, Thomaston, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott, and Woodbury.

As we serve our communities, we frequently engage with local businesses of all sizes and types, ranging from caterers and printing shops to contractors and LEPs. Additionally, NVCOG interacts with the business community through a variety of our plans, programs, and projects, including our successful Brownfields program that may provide assistance to owners or developers of contaminated sites. Subgrants and low-interest loans are made available to eligible entities under NVCOG's Revolving Loan Fund Program to aid in the cleanup of contaminated properties. NVCOG also solicits bids/proposals for a variety of services that support its operations and initiatives, such as engineering, construction, design work, waste management services, and so on. Solicitations may lead to prime or subcontracting opportunities.
