The company is a vertically integrated home improvement company, operating as a full service lumber retailer, a design house, and a custom millwork shop. We are located in Waterbury, Connecticut. The company was founded in 1954, by Steven Bushka and his brothers. It began as a fledgling cabinet shop. Since then, Bushka Lumber & Millwork, has evolved and grown to provide top of the line lumber, building materials, in addition to custom cabinetry. Today, Bushka Lumber & Millwork, still stands committed to its tradition of carrying “best in brand” products. We have strong supplier relationships with manufacturers of window and entry door products, architectural and cabinet hardware, mouldings and paint. We also have an extensive network of leading lumber providers. In addition, the company has stayed committed to its core competency – custom millwork. We have developed several millwork design and production processes that instill our custom products with a craftsmanship we feel is among the finest in the industry. The Mill at Bushka Lumber & Millwork is a highly specialized “boutique” workshop that crafts a wide range of high end, custom masterpieces, including kitchen cabinetry, bathroom vanities, doors, bookcases, entertainment centers and mantels. We have served clients throughout Connecticut and New York. We are often requested to complete projects at our clients’ second homes and businesses and as a result, have established a presence on Martha’s Vineyard, Block Island, Florida and California. In addition to designing and building our own custom cabinetry, we work with a variety of semi-custom, stock cabinet manufacturers to round out our offering to meet every budget level.
